Basic Exercise: Creating Text
First we will create some Text. We will select the Type Face and set it's size. We will then duplicate the Text, applying a Color fill and Stroke. We will then blur the original text and overlay the new text to give a shadow effect.
When you have finished the Stubby holder you can save the file as a .svg file. Svg files keep the Vector drawing elements and the bitmap elements as you created them. Svg files can be used on the web and can be imported into other graphics programs. You can also choose File > Export Bitmap and export the file as a .png file.
Png files are very high quality and even though the files are small they have very little loss of detail compared to .jpeg files. Png files can be used on Web pages just remember to set the dpi to either 72dpi or 96dpi. If you want to use the Image for a local print document save as either 200 or 300 dpi.
